Mold Testing
Mold testing is done in two different parts, as air quality testing and swab tests. Each are $250. Consult with your inspector on site if both are necessary.

What Is Mold Testing?
Mold testing helps identify the presence of mold spores and potential fungal growth within a home. While some mold may be visible, elevated airborne mold spore levels and hidden mold growth often require specialized testing to detect. Professional mold testing can help homeowners, buyers, and sellers better understand indoor air quality concerns and determine whether additional evaluation or remediation may be needed. At Arrow Home Inspections, we offer both air sampling and surface swab testing to provide a more complete picture of potential mold issues.

Why Choose Professional Mold Testing?
1
Air Sampling Detects What You Can't See
Air samples measure airborne mold spore concentrations and can help identify hidden mold growth affecting indoor air quality.
2
Surface Swab Testing Identifies Specific Growth
Swab samples collected from suspect areas can determine the type of mold present on visible surfaces.
3
Fast Laboratory Results
We partner with Sporecyte, a nationally recognized mold analysis laboratory known for accurate reporting and rapid turnaround times.
4
Helpful for Real Estate Transactions
Mold testing can provide buyers and sellers with valuable information when concerns arise regarding water intrusion, staining, odors, or visible microbial growth.

Colorado Mold Facts Every Homeowner Should Know
-
Mold can grow in Colorado's dry climate. Leaks, condensation, roof issues, plumbing failures, and poorly ventilated bathrooms can create conditions for mold growth even in low-humidity regions.
-
Visible mold is not always the full story. Elevated airborne mold spore levels can exist without obvious visible growth, making air sampling an important investigative tool.
-
Past water damage may leave hidden concerns. Homes with previous leaks, flooding, or moisture intrusion may benefit from mold testing to evaluate affected areas.
-
Professional laboratory analysis provides objective results. Testing through an accredited laboratory helps identify mold types and concentrations rather than relying on visual observations alone.
